New Article at Travelling Money…

19 July, 2007 (23:47) | Travelling Money | By: LTO

I have decided to go back to blog format both here at Leave The Office and at Travelling Money, my other site. Also over at Travelling Money there is a new article called Five Characteristics of a Successful Entrepreneur; Number 2 of 5 in a series from my friend Maria Palma. An infectiously positive and passionate blogger and entrepreneur herself.

Until Travelling Money is getting more of it’s own traffic I will continue to post about updates to there, to get it off the ground. It’s only a matter of time before Travelling Money will really be living up to it’s name properly.

This website is starting to do quite well in the search engines now, which I am so happy about because I think this can grow into a great place for people to discuss their dreams and get to meet like-minded people… A good place to find help in supporting you towards reaching your goals. It is with this in mind that I am going to start a forum here. I want a moderator or two, so if you are passionate about people achieving a life of their dreams and maybe you’re passionate about being a moderator! ;-) please get in touch. Nothing can grow to it’s fullest potential without the energy of a team behind it.

New Articles at Travelling Money…

My Travelling Money site is gathering pace now and it’s a good feeling now to have 2 sites supporting each other. When starting new websites, a good way to help them grow is to integrate them into your own network, so that they help feed each other. As one grows it in turn allows growth for the others too.

A few new articles have been added to Travelling Money and am very grateful to my blogging friend Maria Palma (The Good Life) for writing a great article to inspire you to move yourdreams of online income into a reality. It’s called "Why You Should Start an Online Business".Thanks Maria and look out for more of her writing style in the near future.

I will also have a very interesting feature coming up soon, but I can’t tell you about that yet. It will, I believe prove great reading however.

Travelling Money: A New Member of The LTO Network…

13 July, 2007 (05:26) | Travelling Money | By: LTO

It is about time I put the energy into the above mentioned website that it deserves. It is the very thing that I want to encourage people to push through that has kept the progress of this website sluggish. Procrastination! I’m not beating myself up about it because I have been doing many other constructive things, but it goes to show that the spark you initially have when you come up with an idea (In this case the domain name popped into my head and sounded great to me) can easily lose much of it’s energy if you don’t nurture it.

I have had dreams of making money without a job and my perception of what that is like has evolved over the last year or so. When I first got interested in generating an online income I was dreaming about sitting on a beach with my laptop, sipping a beer and knocking out a few articles whilst surfing the internet. The image to me was a little like being on a permanent vacation. Well as we all know being on vacation for your whole life will turn your mind to mush and there is nothing wrong with putting the hours into making your living as long as it doesn’t feel like work. If you are going to try your hand at creating a portable income, make sure it is doing something that you enjoy!

I will be honest with you now and say that although it can be easy to make money, it is only easy once you adopt a certain View from my homemindset, which is covered in more detail here. Once you know you are ready to start creating your own job, which has no fixed boundaries you really are on the right path because you are then only limited by your imagination. This picture, for example is the view from my second home. The place I intend to be living long-term as soon as possible. It provides me with that incentive to keep my focus on success.

I will not be concentrating solely on making money from the internet. I will also provide ideas and inspiration for other ways to make money from anywhere too. The internet however does help because even if your chosen method of business is not web-based the internet is the best place to start for publicity, promotion, research, support and advice when you are out there on the move. It is also possible if you are moving around frequently that you may get dis-heartened at times or lonely. It’s only natural if you are a normal human being, so the internet is a way of keeping contact with just about every aspect of life out there to give you some perspective.

So get your pen and paper and write down the draft for your website now. Don’t worry if you have to start again. Just start and you’ll find you will get into the flow. Let me know how you’re getting on, you might be able to enlighten me a little too! I am not here just to teach I am here to learn as well.

Oh yes, one other thing. Set yourself a short-term goal, like how much you are earning from your venture in six months time. Not what you think you will be able to achieve, but what you truly desire to achieve. Write it down including what it means to you to acieve that goal and let it be your driving force.

My goal by the end of October is to be making £1000 per month from this site. It’s a new site and it’s a big task, but that’s my intention. I love the fact thought of making £1000 per month from this website by the 31st October. It’s got me fired up already.

Wealth Beyond Reason

13 May, 2007 (23:36) | Travelling Money | By: LTO

As a follow up to the last post. I think there is so much out there on the internet about the law of attraction and how to apply it to your life that it is easy to get lost or even exposed to some pretty poor quality information products, which claim to make you “happy and rich”.

Therefore I will make mention of the Wealth Beyond Reason curriculum, which I personally am a student of. It is engaging with this program, which I find very enjoyable by the way, that has transformed my experience of life over the last few months and helped me to actually manifest some very big desires very quickly. That’s evidence enough for me that the Law of Attraction is not some new-age “theory”

I fully recommend visiting the WBR website and accepting the invitation to give your time to listen to the free introduction from the course founder Bob Doyle. There is also an honest review of WBR on my other blog; Leave The Office

Hocus Pocus? No… Focus…

You know the world’s awareness of something has increased to mainstream levels when there is a story about it in The Daily Mail (UK newspaper). Never one to hold back on a sensationalist report, the writers that The Mail favour all seem to share the same opinions based on their own personal beliefs and fears. Aaah , unbiased reporting in the UK. Don’t you just love it?

Anyway my post isn’t about The Daily Mail. It’s about the common reaction to a suggestion of a different way of thinking that an article I read displayed. It was an article about “The Secret” and basically it was an article that attempted to ridicule the notion that “If you wish for something you’ll have it…” and even suggested that there may be real sinister ulterior motives to this “dangerous” movement of “self-help gurus”. I’m not quoting word for word here, but this is the general tone of the article.

This is my point… Why do people so quickly make up their mind about something before they’ve even finished reading the explaination. The Secret and The Law of Attraction is not about wishing for something or being selfish. In fact I’m not even going to describe it here. You can read about it everywhere.

All I can say is that since I put into words and actions my intention to live by, as I call it “Traveling Money” it has become a reality in the way I believed in it from the start. Just as much as it would have been impossible for me to acheive if I believed it was pipe dream. I have been introduced recently to some mind boggling truths about what really gets you what you desire (please note I did not say “want”) and I find it so exciting that even if I wanted to be all cynical about it I would still be converted.

You see I believe in myself and, seeing as we are all connected that means I believe in everyone. Not everyone’s egos, but their beings, their spirit, what they give of themselves when they are being creative instead of competitive, when they are not worrying, procrastinating or bargaining. That is the secret to me. You cannot ask the universe for what you desire in English or any other human-made language. It won’t hear you, which is why there is always evidence that is “hocus pocus” for someone who doesn’t believe. The universe is responding to your requests every second in a language far more efficient than anything spoken, so the secret is not to want something or try to find a way of how to make it happen, but to be that something. If you want to be a singer, then stop wanting to be a singer and be a singer and don’t try and get your head around that either. Why do you need to know how to be a singer if you know inside that is what you are already?

I am many things that I wanted to be for many years and I am those things because I chose to be them. Please please please follow that feeling inside and trust it.

I am successful, I have loads of travelling money, I have everything I always desired and I am everything I always desired to be and I don’t mind whether you believe me or not.

Attracting Money… An Update

23 March, 2007 (20:17) | Travelling Money | By: LTO

In an earlier post I made on this blog I mentioned that I intend to attract money. Recently I have just learned of the concept of attracting things into your life, so my choice of words at that time, before any awareness of the Law of Attraction I find intriguing. If you have heard about the Law of Attraction it may make sense to you the notion that when I wrote that post I was in the process of attracting this knowledge, which I am finding very powerful in the process of being the author of my life’s script instead of just the reader of it.

I also realise that I have, since writing that post generated money outside of my regular job, some of which was a result of work I did years ago, so the concept of residual income is beginning to take shape too. I am finding that I can’t stop travelling money from following me. This indeed is making me feel very excited.

Although this blog is focused around earning an income whilst being free from fixed working hours and location I am not simply focusing on money alone. I am learning more and more each day how true wealth is not about money at all. Clichés aside, this is the truth. Money is just a sign that you have wealth. You cannot buy wealth with money, you have to have wealth first, before you are able to attract the money that reflects it. Think rich, think fulfilled, think heart’s desire and live it. If you do, you are wealthy and the rest will follow.

I have discovered and learned things lately that I now know I attracted and I canot explain fully in words the grattitude I feel for everything.

Do you chase money?

22 February, 2007 (13:47) | Travelling Money | By: LTO

Do you chase money? Does it just fall into your hands?

You know some people naturally seem to generate a flow of money in their lives. Most of them probably couldn’t tell you how or why that is, where some people never seem to have any money and are constantly working really hard just to get by. That is what I mean by chasing money.

It is a commonly held view that people who make a lot of money posess negative qualities like greed, selfishness or are simply interested in money at the expense of everything else.
I believe that this outlook is what completely wipes out any chance of somebody gaining wealth. It is my belief that most people who have made a fortune succeeded in doing so, mainly because they did not have the attitude of needing money or that it is a means to an end.

How many people work hard, are honest and still left struggling every month when the bills come in? It is this attitude of going about your income generating life that restricts you. I have lived in this way all my life and I am just waking up to the possiblilites of being financially secure without spending all my time going to work. I no longer dream of attracting traveling money. I have an intention to do so and you can too.

Welcome to Traveling Money

17 February, 2007 (23:01) | Travelling Money | By: LTO

I am on a quest. A quest to be free of the burden of regular work. Instead of going to work I intend for work to come to me. Well actually I have acheived this, but I still feel that the quest is never ending because there is always more to learn. Before I had travelling money in my life I was constantly asking myself the same question. How can I be able to move around pretty much wherever and whenever I want and, at the same time generate an income?

It was some time ago when I defined my goal as “Travelling Money” or “Traveling Money” depending on whether you live in the UK or the USA. Seeing as I hope to appeal to people from both of these nations as well as anyone else who speaks English I will randomly switch between the UK spelling of the word Traveling and the US spelling, Traveling.

Travelling Money is an incoming flow of money that follows you wherever you go, wherever you are. It does not care where you are or whether you are at a fixed place of work or not, but it remains loyal and ever present to you as long as you keep attending to the process of generating it, which is not difficult and requires much less time devoted to it as a regular, full-time job.

There are people out there who are already living on traveling money and it takes care of them very well. Some have established a substancial amount of traveling money, whilst others are still going through the discovery process of how to attain it. One such person I wish to encourage on his quest, after reading his inspiring blog is at www.leavetheoffice.com and is well worth a read as he is at the beginning of his journey and explains all the pitfalls and mistakes he makes as he goes, whilst also giving an insight into his life in general and how it is affected and indeed enhanced by his determination to attain financial freedom.

The thing to remember is that travelling money is always there, ready to follow you. You just have to believe it and walk the path to realising it’s potential.

I’m always really inspired when I read of people doing this or beginning to do this and to them I say. “Never give it up. There’s no deadline, no pressure, just the potential for absolute freedom in this crazy world!”
