It took six hours to get to Phnom Penh and I arrived via a moto at the Capitol guesthouse, which will cost me $3 a night. I think it has bed bugs and it's pretty bad, but it's not the worst I've ever seen. It is however the cheapest, which considering my budget concerns right now is a help. I bought a fake Longines watch in the Central market. It looks just like my old Seiko which packed up last year, so I'm happy. It was fun haggling with the sales girl in the market. She was very pretty and what I liked about her the most was the fact that she thought I looked about six or seven years younger than I actually am!
I went to the Goldfish restaurant and had the black-pepper crab as recommended by Katrien who had ordered this when she was here the other week. It was ok, but I wasn't impressed with the service. No bloody tip! I went to the Seeing Hands blind massage, but it was closed. I have heard about the seeing hands and I want to try it before I move on somewhere else. I'm not sure if I like Phnom Penh very much. It's almost impossible to walk anywhere. There are so many moto drivers. They don't let you walk 10 paces without almost forcing you to take a ride somewhere. Why would I want a moto driver to take me somewhere that I can see right now, just a few hundred yards in front of my eyes? I think I was spoilt with my tour of Bangkok with Oi. I have a high expectation of the City now.
