Yes life is incredible if you allow it to teach you. The last time I returned from Thailand in October ’06 I felt very down and lost, just missing being there and that was my experience of life at that point, just wanting a “new” or “better” life and also not knowing exactly what I was going to do with my life at that moment.

This time Thailand and everything there that is so dear to me is still on my mind most of the time, but whenever I think about it I have a very strong feeling of joy, like I am actually there and everything has worked out right instead of the feeling of longing or lacking.

The difference I believe is due to the fact that before I felt like I had no choice, but to settle for what I did not want (what kind of life is that?). Now I can see that I do have a choice, and that which I choose is in the process of becoming reality.

I hadn’t thought about that. It goes to show that there’s no more effective way to being in the right frame of mind than just getting into it rather than “trying” to do it or thinking about it too much.

Also I don’t have a sense that I’m running out of time either, which is something has dogged me for years and sometimes caused me to make decisions that were poorly judged and hasty.
