Technorati or Technical hitch?
I’ve suffered a bit of a setback.
Until two days ago this site was linked to by 41 different blogs according to Technorati. Now it’s only linked by 9 different blogs. My Technorati ranking has plummeted and indeed I have seen a drop in visitors to Leave The Office over the last day or two, which really concerns me. After all my hard work getting this blog moving I’m almost back at the beginning.
What’s going on? Can 32 blogs really have removed their link to my site all at the same time or is there a technical hitch somewhere. Maybe 41 blogs never linked to me in the first place. Funny that these stats seemed to change the instant I ran and then added the "How Much is Your Blog Worth" widget, which I have decided to remove. I didn’t like it much anyway!

Well it doesn’t look like it was a glitch, but I look at it this way…
It’s a wake up call. I can’t rely on just existing sources for building traffic etc… I’d better get proactive with some new ideas!
