Travelling Money: A New Member of The LTO Network…
It is about time I put the energy into the above mentioned website that it deserves. It is the very thing that I want to encourage people to push through that has kept the progress of this website sluggish. Procrastination! I’m not beating myself up about it because I have been doing many other constructive things, but it goes to show that the spark you initially have when you come up with an idea (In this case the domain name popped into my head and sounded great to me) can easily lose much of it’s energy if you don’t nurture it.
I have had dreams of making money without a job and my perception of what that is like has evolved over the last year or so. When I first got interested in generating an online income I was dreaming about sitting on a beach with my laptop, sipping a beer and knocking out a few articles whilst surfing the internet. The image to me was a little like being on a permanent vacation. Well as we all know being on vacation for your whole life will turn your mind to mush and there is nothing wrong with putting the hours into making your living as long as it doesn’t feel like work. If you are going to try your hand at creating a portable income, make sure it is doing something that you enjoy!
I will be honest with you now and say that although it can be easy to make money, it is only easy once you adopt a certain
mindset, which is covered in more detail here. Once you know you are ready to start creating your own job, which has no fixed boundaries you really are on the right path because you are then only limited by your imagination. This picture, for example is the view from my second home. The place I intend to be living long-term as soon as possible. It provides me with that incentive to keep my focus on success.
I will not be concentrating solely on making money from the internet. I will also provide ideas and inspiration for other ways to make money from anywhere too. The internet however does help because even if your chosen method of business is not web-based the internet is the best place to start for publicity, promotion, research, support and advice when you are out there on the move. It is also possible if you are moving around frequently that you may get dis-heartened at times or lonely. It’s only natural if you are a normal human being, so the internet is a way of keeping contact with just about every aspect of life out there to give you some perspective.
So get your pen and paper and write down the draft for your website now. Don’t worry if you have to start again. Just start and you’ll find you will get into the flow. Let me know how you’re getting on, you might be able to enlighten me a little too! I am not here just to teach I am here to learn as well.
Oh yes, one other thing. Set yourself a short-term goal, like how much you are earning from your venture in six months time. Not what you think you will be able to achieve, but what you truly desire to achieve. Write it down including what it means to you to acieve that goal and let it be your driving force.
My goal by the end of October is to be making £1000 per month from this site. It’s a new site and it’s a big task, but that’s my intention. I love the fact thought of making £1000 per month from this website by the 31st October. It’s got me fired up already.

Good deal. Just let me know.
Is this an old site that you have resurrected? I like the name.

What you mean travelling money? I did put up a site, but didn’t get round to putting any content on it and a blogger blog, which I hardly updated because I don’t really like the blogger interface much. It seems to have slowly grown into something now though.
I’m not sure whether to have a blog running on TM or not now. MAybe I’ll put in the option for readers to comment on articles & pages instead.
Cheers for the feedback.
