What Does Leaving The Office Mean to You?

by Rob on April 2, 2007

What does the phrase "Leave The Office" say to you when you read it?

  • Do you think of getting away on holiday or vacation?
  • Do you think, as I do about leaving the 9 to 5 behind and living a life of relative freedom?
  • Do you have a more abstract idea of what it could mean, like the concept of developing such a joyous relationship with work that the office is no longer experienced as "The Office"?

Comments please! :-)

“Leave the Office” means I can get away from my “office desk” and reach my bed in less than 10 secs. Or vice-versa. Do you know what does that means to me? :D

Good one Alex, but does this mean you do not get enough sleep or go outside?

Sounds like the journey to “work” is easy though!

Hi Rob,

To me, it means that I work from home and my office desk is my computer. It took only less than 10 secs for me to get up from my bed to the computer. It’s just a few meters away! :)

Option #2: It means leaving the rat race and living life on your own terms!

It means it is cocktail hour. You know it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.

Cocktail hour is good. What’s your poison Peter? Actually where I am right now a glass of water is enough what with everything else being perfect.

thanks for stopping by.

To borrow from Brando in the Wild Ones, “Whadya got?”
